Privacy Policy

Deal Hunter ("the app", "we") is a deal-finding app available on the web at deal-hunter-4e7.pages.dev and as an Android app on Google Play (package com.ashishnagar.dealhunter). This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account details: the mobile number or email you sign up with, an optional name, and your password stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash (we never see or store the plain password).
• Device signature: a one-way hash computed on your device from technical properties (browser/OS version, screen size, time zone, graphics renderer) and a random device id. It is used only to allow one free trial per device and to prevent trial abuse. It cannot be turned back into those properties.
• Network address: the IP address used at sign-up, kept for fraud prevention (limits on free trials and sign-ups).
• Subscription records: if you subscribe through Google Play, we receive and store the purchase token, order id, product id, status and expiry from Google so we can confirm your subscription. We do not receive your card, UPI or bank details; Google Play handles payment.
• Activity timestamps: when you signed up and were last active, and a history of access changes (trial, subscription, activation codes) for support and accounting.
• Saved deals and settings (filters, theme, saved deals) stay in your device's local storage and are not sent to us.

What we do not do

• No advertising SDKs, no selling or renting of personal data, no contacts, location, camera, microphone or file access.

How deals are gathered

Deal listings come from public deal-sharing websites and public Telegram channel previews, fetched by our server. Opening "Buy Now" takes you to the store (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio) whose own privacy policy then applies. We remove other parties' affiliate tags from store links.

Where data is stored

On Cloudflare (Pages and D1 database) servers. Data is sent over HTTPS. Your login is kept by a secure, HTTP-only cookie.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete my account) or by following these steps. Deleting removes your account, login sessions and profile. We keep (a) the anonymous device-signature hash, so the free trial cannot be repeated on the same device, and (b) purchase and accounting records required by law for up to 8 years, unlinked from your login.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your data by writing to the contact email. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

We will post any change here and update the date above.
